A Cocktail To Celebrate The Women's FIFA World Cup

Excited to hear that Australia and New Zealand have been successful in their historic joint bid to host the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup! Congratulations all round and to our Kiwi friends across the Tasman we celebrate with a NZ inspired Vantage and Feijoa cocktail! Thanks to our friends Brenton and Georgie VinBar in Albury who concocted this beautiful drink, it’s really choice ;-) (see what we did there?) For those who don’t know, the feijoa is a green, egg shaped fruit native to Brazil but adored especially in New Zealand. It’s one of the most vitamin C-rich foods you can eat so essentially this is a healthy cocktail right? Here’s how you make it: SPIRIT OF FEIJOA 60ml Vantage Dash simple syrup (5-10ml) 1 feijoa, flesh scooped out, discard skin Mint leaves (about 5-6) 15ml lemon juice Soda water to top Lime, feijoa and extra mint to garnish Put Vantage, feijoa pulp, sugar syrup, lemon and mint leaves into a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add ice and the lid, and shake until mixed. Strain into your favourite cocktail glass and top with soda. Garnish with lime and/or feijoa slices and a sprig of mint.
